(FIVE POINTS) Albert Earl Johnson, 72, of Five Points died Sunday morning, Oct. 25, 2020, at his residence.

Graveside services will be Tuesday, Oct. 27, at 2 p.m. ET at New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery in Fredonia with the Rev. Ed Halsey officiating.

Mr. Johnson was born in West Point, Ga., on Oct. 9, 1948, to the late James and Nina Johnson. Mr. Johnson was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. Mr. Johnson proudly served our country in the U.S. Army. He loved NASCAR and was an avid University of Alabama football fan. He was employed with West Point Stevens for 41 years.

He is survived by his wife, Gloria Johnson; children, Michell King (Geoff) and Kimberly Johnson; and sister, Margaret Kelley (Ed). He was also preceded in death by his brothers, James Johnson Jr. (Carolyn) and Jimmy Lee Johnson.
