(SNELLVILLE, Ga.) Jennie Prescott Bassett, 85, of Snellville, Ga., died Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2020.

The funeral will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 13, at Bill Head Funeral Home, Lilburn/Tucker Chapel, with Susan Rumble officiating. Burial service and interment will be held at 11 a.m. CST on Saturday, Feb. 15, at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Roanoke.

Visitation will be Thursday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. at Bill Head Funeral Homes and Crematory, Lilburn/Tucker Chapel.

A native of Roanoke, Mrs. Bassett was a homemaker. She was a longtime member of the food service team at Northeast Baptist Church, as well as a Dekalb County poll worker for elections. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lilburn, where she sang in the choir and was active in the senior adult ministry.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Phillip and Jen Bassett of Butler, Ga., and James and Elizabeth Bassett of Snellville; daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie and Rick Harrison of Snellville and Janis and Raymond Smallwood of Dallas, Ga.; 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon C. Bassett.
