Mable Holman Lovvorn, 79, died Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2019.
The funeral was at 3 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 18, at Gassett Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Tim Thompson officiating. Burial was at Pine View Gardens.
Mrs. Lovvorn was born in Coosa County. She was a charter member of Mountain View Baptist Church. Mrs. Lovvorn was a devoted wife and mother who opened her home and heart to many others. She had great love for her dogs, Daisy and Dusty, and her chickens.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Fred Handley Lovvorn; sons, Freddy Lovvorn (Donna) and Randall Lovvorn (Lisa); sister, Ellen Cheek; brother, Kenny Holman; and sisters-in-law, Barbara Holman and Julia Ann Kirby. Mrs. Lovvorn was preceded in death by her parents, James Monroe Holman and Vergie Kate Holman; brother, Clifford Lewis Holman; and sisters-in-law, Glenda Holman and Polly Lovvorn Anderson.
Active pallbearers were Danny Cheek, Chip Cheek, Dave Holman, Jeffrey Price, Donnie Manis and Jay Reeves. Honorary pallbearers were Johnnie Collier, Brandon Reeves, McKenly Price, and John Rooks.
