(FRANKLIN, Ga.) Willie Evelyn Parris Clifton, 82, of Franklin, Ga., died Dec. 17, 2020.

Her funeral was Sunday, Dec. 20, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Stutts Funeral Home with the Revs. Steve Robertson and Jerry W. Denney officiating. Interment followed in Mounger Cemetery (Calhoun County).

Mrs. Clifton was born Jan. 24, 1938, in Calhoun County to the late Floyd Andrew Parris and Maggie Velma Ward Parris. She was a member of Gray Hill Church of God. She retired from Woodland High School after 15 years of service, where she worked in the cafeteria. Among her favorite pastimes was solving word puzzles. She was also an avid reader. Her favorite book was the Bible, and she read it often. She was a loving mother and grandmother whose most precious moments were spent visiting with family and friends.

Survivors include her daughter, Trisha Robertson (Steve) of Lineville; son, Larry Clifton (Donna) of Roopville, Ga.; three grandchildren, Alex Nelson, Brittany Steed (Cody) and Brandon Clifton; great-grandchild, Bryson Steed; brother, Daniel Parris of Franklin; and a number of other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Junior J. Clifton, and two sisters, Doris Fortenberry and Pluma Fortenberry.
