(FRANKLIN, Ga.) Darrin Ray Mitchell, affectionately known as "Rabbit," of Franklin, Ga., died Thursday, Aug. 27, 2020.

His funeral was Sunday, Aug. 30, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Stutts Funeral Home with the Rev. Horace Harper officiating. Interment followed in Prospect Church Cemetery.

Rabbit was greatly admired by all who knew him for his many abilities and musical talents. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him. He was a welder by trade and loved nothing more than setting the hook on a mossy back bass. He had a heart bigger than most, and his generosity was known by many.

He leaves behind his beloved companion, Rhonda; two stepsons, Harvey and Marcus; three grandchildren, Layla, Lilli and Mason; brother, Chucky Barrett; five sisters, Christy Looney (Robert) of Franklin, Lisa Glaze and Lori Barrett, both of Hampton, Ga., and Lynn Mitchell and Dianne Mitchell, both of Greenville, Ala. He was preceded in death by his mother, Nell Barrett, and father, Roger Barrett.
