(ROCK MILLS) A memorial service for Charles Lewis Adams, 82, of Rock Mills will be Saturday, Nov. 20, 2021, at 11 a.m. at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Bro. Mike Brewer and Bro. David Taft officiating. A small graveside service to honor his life will be held directly after the service at 7053 County Rd. 16, Roanoke.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturday before services.

Mr. Adams passed away Thursday, Nov. 11, at his home.

A Heard County, Ga., native, Mr. Adams was born Nov. 28, 1938, the son of Lewis Calvin Adams Jr. and Catherine Ruby Hudson. He attended Glenn Independent Methodist Church, was the owner/operator of Alabama Repair Service diesel mechanic shop, and was a member of Rock Mills Volunteer Fire Department for 42 years.

Survivors include his daughter, Charlotte Adams Finver of Boca Raton, Fla.; two sons, David Adams (Tamela) and Daniel Hudson Adams (Audrey), both of Roanoke; three grandchildren, Megan Finver, Jared Finver and Kaitlyn Adams; and two special granddaughters, Lillie Brown and Mattie Brown. Mr. Adams was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Geneva Adams; and sister, Emily Adams Daniel.
