(ROANOKE) The funeral for Linda Fay Shelnutt Brown, 80, of Roanoke will be Wednesday, June 17, 2020, at 1 p.m. at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Keith Benefield officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from noon to 1 p.m. on Wednesday before services begin.

Mrs. Brown died Sunday, June 14, at her residence.

A Wedowee native, Mrs. Brown was born Oct. 8, 1939, the daughter of Marvin J. and Mozell A. Laney Shelnutt. She was a member of Liberty East Baptist Church and worked as a seamstress for Palm Beach.

Survivors include her three daughters, Shelby Nunn (Steve Davis Nunn) and Shirley Poore (Billy), both of Wadley, and Trina Railey of LaGrange, Ga.; 12 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Margie Newman Cook of Montgomery. Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ralph Coleman Brown; son, Tommy C. Brown; and sister, Jackie Watson.

Pallbearers will be Billy Poore, Kelly Luke, Ronnie Chaffin, Bryar Brown, Lee Brown and Steve Nunn.
