(WOODLAND) The funeral for Joseph Lonza Pike, 71, of Woodland will be Wednesday, April 21, 2021, at 2 p.m. at Liberty East Baptist Church with Bro. Greg Norred officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 20. Mr. Pike will lie in state at the church for one hour prior to services beginning on Wednesday.
Mr. Pike passed away Monday, April 19, at his residence.
A Woodland native, Mr. Pike was born March 5, 1950, the son of Q.P. and Cena Mitchell Pike. He worked as a supervisor for Franklin Aluminum.
Survivors include his wife, Peggy Sue Pike of Woodland; five sons, Steve Harrington (Shannon) of Wedowee, Rickey Harrington (Robin) of Cartersville, Ga., Joseph Pike (Betty) of Bowdon, Ga., Richard Pike (Randi) of Guntersville and Cody Harrington (Brittany) of Roanoke; 16 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Jane Crenshaw and Barbara Pike, both of Woodland; brother, Richard Pike (Wonder) of Woodland; and aunt Evelyn Bonds and aunt and uncle, Douglas and Rebecca Yates, all of Woodland. Mr. Pike was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Steve Pike; sister, Sandra Pike; uncle, George Bonds; and uncle and aunt, Handley and Dorothy Mitchell.
Pallbearers will be Richard E. Pike, Chris Pike, Chris Dye, Richard Satterwhite, Laurence Rudy and Barry Yates. Jimmy Brown will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
