(AUBURN) Harold Craft, 81, of Auburn died Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2021, at his residence.

A graveside service will be Sunday, Jan. 2, at 1:30 p.m. at LaFayette City Cemetery.

The family will greet friends at the cemetery on Sunday from 1 to 1:30 p.m. prior to the service.

Harold was born in Randolph County on Dec. 21, 1940, to the late James Troy Craft and the late Gladys French Craft. He was retired from the trucking industry having been employed with McClendon Trucking in LaFayette for 11 years as head dispatcher and later with Martin Gas Company in Kilgore, Texas, and Mangram, Okla., for 30 years.

He is survived by his fiancŽe, JoAnn Mathews of Auburn; three sons, Mike Craft (Kira) and John Craft (Leanne), both of Chelsea, and Justin Craft (Kim) of Birmingham; mother of his children, Elizabeth Hanson Craft of Chelsea; brother, Jack Craft (Barbara) of LaFayette; eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; and beach companions, Dwayne Mathews and Loren Jarmon. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Peggy Mathews Crawford.
