(ROANOKE) Willie B. Foster, 75, of Jackson Avenue, Roanoke, died Wednesday morning, May 20, 2020, at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika.
Viewing will be Wednesday, May 27, from 1 to 6 p.m. at Clark Memorial Funeral Service.
A graveside service will be Thursday, May 28, at noon at Skyview Memorial Gardens in the Welch community with Bishop Gregory "Beck" Foster, the Rev. Joe C. Cofield and Pastor Michael Goss officiating.
Willie B. was born in Randolph County on July 15, 1944, to the late Eddie B. Sr. and Annie Ruth Foster. Willie B. was married to the late Karey Ann Lynch Foster. For more than 20 years, Willie B. was a self-employed logger and hauled scrap iron. His favorite pastimes were gardening, yard work and just sitting on the porch enjoying being outside. He was known for being a great outdoorsman.
Survivors include his son, Charlie Joe "Chimp" Weaver of Roanoke; two daughters, Lynn Malone of Atlanta and Latoya Weaver of Roanoke; three sisters, Katherine Tucker (Arthur) of Roanoke, Ruby Thomas of Defuniak Springs, Fla., and Jannie Lou Longina of Atlanta; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; special nephew, Gregory "Beck" Foster of Troy; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by all of his brothers, Charlie Will, Eddie B. "Bill" Jr. and Robert.
