(LINEVILLE) The funeral for Margaret Evelyn Stillwell, 87, of Lineville, will be Saturday, Sept. 4, 2021, at 3 p.m. at Mt. Prospect Baptist Church with Bro. Brandon Owens and Bro. Lee Hollis officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery.
Visitation will be Saturday at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville from noon to 2:30 p.m.
Mrs. Stillwell passed away Wednesday, Sept. 1, at her home.
Born and raised in Alabama, she graduated from Handley High School in 1955. She attended Ayers Community College for nursing, where she got her associate's degree and became a licensed practical nurse. She was a nurse for 15 years, as well as a homemaker and military wife. They traveled all up and down the East Coast for many years. Mrs. Stillwell enjoyed quilting, gardening and canning. She loved spending time with her friends at casinos, traveling and spending time with her family. Mrs. Stillwell was a member of Mt. Prospect Baptist Church.
She is survived by her five sons, David G. Willingham, Jim A. Willingham (Tamela) and Walter D. Willingham (Dawn), all of Lineville, Peter D. Willingham (Tina) of Cragford and Chong Sik Yim (Young Sin) of Georgia; nine grandchildren. Jeremiah Willingham (Ollie), Josh Willingham (Stephanie), Tashauna Rotzenberg, Jim M. Willingham (Sarah), Eliza Daniel (Kalan), Jessie Harper (Russ), Ashley Bennett, Sydney Bennett and Kyontaek Yim (Hyejin); nine great-grandchildren, Jaylie and Hollyn Willingham, Hannah and Hayden Willingham, Gavin Rotzenberg, Dustin, Travis and Caleb Tyner, Jim Ayden Willingham, Caroline Harper, Daniel Yim and one more on the way; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. She was preceded in death by her mother, Winnie Freeman; husbands, Jim D. Willingham and John Stillwell; special friend, Harold Horton; sister, Francis Steen; brother, Tommy Freeman; and daughter-in-law, Christy Willingham.
Her grandsons will serve as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be the staff of Compassus of Roanoke.
