(WEAVER) A graveside service for Florine Cobb Bearden, 95, of Weaver will be Saturday, Oct. 9, 2021, at 1 p.m. at Maple Grove Cemetery with the Rev. Steve Dempsey officiating.

She passed away Wednesday, Oct. 6, at her residence with her daughter by her side.

Florine was born Nov. 22, 1925, to the late Albert and Josie Cobb. She was a native and lifelong resident of Calhoun County. Mrs. Bearden was a member of Pilgrim's Rest Baptist Church #2 in Randolph County and had worked several years at local fabric stores.

Florine is survived by her daughter, Joan Marie James; sons. Garry Dale Bearden (Janet) and Jimmy Dean Bearden; daughter-in-law, Glenda Marie Bearden; brothers, Ray Cobb and Gay Cobb; 15 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Florine is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Curtis Ray Bearden; sons, Melvin Ray Bearden and Morgan Jackson Bearden; grandson, John Christopher Bearden; sisters, Delene Smith, Maudine Burdett, Eulene Ginn, Polly Ingram and Linda Lockridge; brothers, James Cobb, Bobby Gene Cobb and Wayne Cobb; and daughter-in-law, Eunice Mae Bearden.

Pallbearers will be grandsons and great-grandsons.
