Sharon Tennant Davis, beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother and friend was taken from us by cancer on Aug. 12, 2019.
She will be missed by everyone whose lives she has touched over the years. She devoted herself to the education of the young and always held them in the highest esteem and treated them like they were the most important person in the world for her. The impact she had on them in their lives cannot be measured by any known scale. She taught at The Village School in Opelika for over a decade, before she came to Knight-Enloe Elementary, where she continued her passion of teaching the young. From the beginning of her diagnosis with cancer and repeated chemotherapy visits and trips to dialysis, she remained a fighter up until the very end. The hole that will be left in the hearts and lives of everyone who knew her will be there until the end of time.
There will be no funeral service to remember her by, as those were her last wishes, and there is no building or room large enough to hold her spirit and resolve now that she has passed.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to the American Cancer Society or to your local school district, as both of these organizations can only hope to have the impact upon everyone's lives that she herself did. She will be sorely missed by her family, who ask that they be allowed to grieve in this time after losing her. They hope you understand how great of a loss the world will have suffered by her passing.
She is survived by her children, Joseph Davis and Beth Davis; mother, Sue Tennant; and brother, Bill Tennant. She was preceded in death by her father, Joe Tennant.
