(FRANKLIN, Ga.) Thomas Edward "Tommy" Jones, 71, of Franklin, Ga., died Nov. 8, 2020.

The funeral will be Wednesday, Nov. 11, at 2 p.m. EST at Flat Rock Campground, Franklin, with Mr. Terry Harper officiating. Interment will be in Mount Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery, Franklin.

Tommy was born Oct. 5, 1949, in St. Petersburg, Fla., to the late Junie Wyatt "Bud" Jones and Alice Gertrude Kelsay Jones. He was a member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church and a good Christian man. Along with his brothers, he owned and operated Jones Sheet Metal for 37 years. He loved to take camping trips and go hunting and fishing. He was affectionately known as "Paw Paw" and attended almost every sporting event in which his grandchildren were involved.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Jennifer Jones of Franklin; two daughters, Michelle Young of Roanoke and Allison Smith (Joel) of Franklin; four grandchildren, Kaitlin Wessinger (Devin), Luke Young, Kamryn Smith and Kane Smith; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Alice Wells and Peggy Johnson; two brothers, Jim Jones and Bob Jones; and other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Dan Jones.

Donations may be given to Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Tommy's name.
