(RANBURNE) Reid William Walker, 88, of Ranburne died Saturday, June 13, 2020.

The family will receive friends at Almon Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 16, from 12:30 until 1:30 p.m.

The funeral will be Tuesday, June 16, at 2 p.m. at the chapel of Almon Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Wiggins officiating. Interment will be in Cleburne County Memory Gardens in Ranburne.

Mr. Walker was born in Hightower on May 13, 1932, the son of the late Aaron Walker and Essie Pollard Walker Whitley. He was a veteran having served in the U.S. Navy, retired manager of a hardware store and attended Campground United Methodist Church in Graham.

Survivors include his daughters and sons-in-law, Phyllis Walker Mitchell (Danny) of Conyers, Ga., Gail Walker Skinner (Allen) of Lacey's Spring and Jennifer Walker of Ranburne; grandchildren, Christopher Mitchell, Elizabeth Craig (Scott), Nicholas Mitchell and Ryan Skinner; sisters and brother-in-law, Shirley Spruill of Carrollton and Fern Skinner (Reid) of Greenwood, S.C. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Noles Walker, and brothers, Wallace Walker, Alton Whitley, J.C. Whitley and Ben Whitley.
