(ROANOKE) Phillip "Bones" McCarley, 62, of Roanoke died Sunday, Feb. 16, 2020, at his residence.
The family will receive friends at Quattlebaum Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 18.
A longtime Roanoke resident, Mr. McCarley was born April 7, 1957, the son of Earl Robertson and Almage Barnes McCarley. He was a 1975 Handley High School graduate and worked as a truck driver for Chris Potts Logging. Mr. McCarley loved Alabama football, and he loved his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda Gail McCarley of Roanoke; daughter, Stacy Dutrow (Dwayne) of Thurmont, Md.; son, Chad Galloway (Katie) of Wedowee; two grandchildren, Kyle Dutrow and Rylee Kate Galloway; two sisters, Carolyn McCarley of Newnan, Ga., and Melissa McCarley of Anniston; and brother, George McCarley of Panama City Beach, Fla. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Phillip Matthew Galloway; and brother, Richard McCarley.
