(OKINAWA, Japan) The funeral for Brandon Lee Houston, age 35, of Okinawa, Japan, formerly of Wedowee, was Monday, Nov. 11, 2019, at 11 a.m. at Benefield Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Craig McClure officiating. Burial will follow at Wedowee City Cemetery.

Mr. Houston died unexpectedly Oct. 20 in Okinawa.

A Wedowee native, Mr. Houston was born Nov. 14, 1983, the son of Willie Autry and Bridgette Houston Allen. He was Baptist by faith, a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a civil service contractor for the Marine Corps Community Services in Japan.

Survivors include his son, Ryko Houston of Okinawa; mother and stepfather, Bridgette and Michael Allen; father, Willie Autrey; maternal grandmother, Maeola Houston of Wedowee; five sisters, Jazmine Allen of Beaumont, Texas, Iris Daniel of Roanoke, Jennifer McGuire of Buford, Ga., and Nicole Autry and Ieshia Autrey, both of Franklin, Ga.; and brother, Willie Autrey Jr. Mr. Houston was preceded in death by his sister, Erica Goss, and grandfather, Benny Houston.
