A graveside service was Monday, March 8, 2021, at 2 p.m. EST at Bethlehem Baptist Church, Standing Rock, for Mrs. Frankie Baker, 88.

Mrs. Baker died Thursday, March 4, in LaGrange, Ga.

She was born May 16, 1932, in Evansville, Ga., to the late Ernest and Mary Gwin Freeman Sr. She united with Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church at an early age. She remained a faithful member and sang in the choir until her health failed. Ms. Baker was united in Holy Matrimony to the late J.W. Baker Sr.

She is survived by her children, Ruby Gore, J.W. Baker Jr., David Baker (Wanda), Donnie Baker (Angela) and Julia Baker; grandchildren, Ronnie Heath, Darrell Heath, ShaKemmia Porter, Bianca Baker, Tamara Baker, Zolee Baker and Shelby Baker; seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Mattie Hutchinson, Nancy Goodson and Virginia Freeman; brother, Ernest Freeman Jr. (Ruby); nieces, nephews and other relatives. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Fredrick Baker; sisters, Annie Kelly and Neddie; and brothers, John, Pierce and Albert Freeman.
