Randolph County Chamber of Commerce, Randolph County Extension System and Southern Union State Community College are sponsors for Youth Leadership Randolph County, a program to help identify and educate potential youth leaders for our communities and county.
Sessions will be on the second Tuesday or Thursday of each month, typically from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. from September 2019 through May 2020 and will include presentations on leadership, workforce development, economic and industrial development, law enforcement and the legal system, and state and local government. Sessions will also include field trips and bus tours. Selected participants will have attendance excuse for participation.
This program is open to any sophomore or junior attending school in Randolph County. Applications can be picked up at your school guidance office or the Randolph County Extension Office and will be accepted through Friday, Aug. 23. The first class will be Tuesday, Sept. 10. Completed applications should be returned to Randolph County Extension Office, P.O. Box 227, Wedowee, AL 36278.
