WADLEY - At a meeting of Wadley Town Council on Monday evening, the council voted unanimously to approve the 2021-2022 budget.

Mayor Donna Mc Kay said the budget is not set in stone and subject to any changes during the year. "We are much further along than we were four years ago, and I believe this budget is more defined. I believe it is as conservative as it can be," she said.

The budget estimates total general fund revenues at $633,076 with total expenditures estimated at $551,546. Those figures would leave a reserve of approximately $81, 529.
