WEDOWEE - Keith Benefield of Wedowee has put a new spin on welding.

Having worked in the welding business and crane operating industry for over 20 years, Mr. Benefield decided it was time for a change. Beginning back in December 2018, Benefield sparked his creativity and decided to find out just what all his welder could do. Mostly using a stick welder, Benefield has designed dozens of creations from simply using scrap metal and random metal objects from nails and chains to horseshoes and wrenches to spoons and saw blades.

When asked about his transition from crane operating to creating art through welding, Benefield explained he is much happier and truly enjoys what he is doing. He says he receives a peace from it all and says, "The good Lord has blessed me, and I can't do it without him!"

With hundreds of customers and an endless amount of ideas, Benefield is doubted to grow weary as he states, "I just love doing it." Be on the lookout for Benefield's work in local stores such as The Crow's Nest and Lakeside in Wedowee. His art brand is titled "Keith's Kraftz" and his style is surely to be recognized.
