A Roanoke man was arrested on Monday night and charged with stabbing his father.
Christopher Tyler Smith, 21, of 216 Elizabeth Ave., is charged with aggravated assault with knife (family).
Earlier that evening, a neighbor had called the police about a fight at the residence. At that time, the suspect's father, Chris, said Tyler and a friend had an altercation, but things were fine then.
Later that night, an officer spotted Tyler at McDonald's arguing with someone in the drive-thru. The officer took Tyler home. When he got Tyler home, he smelled alcohol on his breath and advised Tyler he should go in and go to bed.
About 30 minutes later, RPD received another call to the residence for a fight between Tyler and his father in which Tyler had allegedly stabbed the father. Air Evac flew Mr. Smith to Piedmont Medical Center in Columbus, Ga.
A Lineville woman is accused of using pepper spray on her girlfriend after trying to run her girlfriend over with her own vehicle at Spick and Span Car Wash. The vehicle became stuck in a muddy, grassy area during the process.
On Thursday of last week, Shaquille McLemore, 26, of 184 Hope Lane, Lineville, was charged with first-degree domestic violence, resisting arrest and criminal use of defensive spray.
EMTs treated McLemore for a cut over her eyebrow caused during her resisting arrest.
