A Roanoke man was taken by helicopter to a Columbus, Ga., hospital on Sunday after being stabbed.

According to the report from Roanoke Police Department, Amman Rashad Morgan, 42, and James C. Pearson, 68, of Roanoke were at a third man's home on Gilham Road watching a football game on Sunday afternoon when Morgan and Pearson began to argue. It is alleged that Pearson stabbed Morgan with knife.

Morgan was taken to Piedmont Medical Center. The homeowner suffered chest pains following the incident and was himself transferred to Wellstar West Georgia Medical Center in LaGrange.

Investigators with Roanoke Police Department are still working on the case, trying to determine whether the stabbing was in self-defense.
