Roanoke Police are investigating the deaths of two men Monday night in what appears to be a gunfight.

Roanoke Police Chief Adam Melton said reports of multiple shots fired led officers to a home on Stanley Avenue, which is off of Seymour Drive. Two subjects were found lying in the yard of a house where they had earlier been playing dominoes.

Jason Lewis, 42, of Roanoke was taken to Tanner East Alabama Medical Center, where he died.

Air Evac was flying James Christopher "Jack" Turner, 40, of LaFayette to Atlanta Medical Center, but because his condition deteriorated, they stopped at WellStar West Georgia Medical Center in LaGrange, where he also died.

The investigation is ongoing, but at this time, it appears they shot each other.
