Special delivery

A Roanoke man who was allegedly expecting a special package from UPS instead received the package from law enforcement.

According to Sheriff David Cofield, UPS discovered the contents of the package headed to Avenue A in Roanoke and notified law enforcement. Donnie Strain of RCSO and Kevin Walker of Wedowee PD, members of the Alabama Drug Enforcement Task Force-Region G, assisted the task force on a controlled delivery of the package.

Anthony Sheron Foster, 37, of 165 Jackson Ave., Roanoke, took possession of the package, which contained 3 pounds of marijuana. Foster was arrested on Jan. 15 and charged with trafficking marijuana.
