An arrest has been made in connection with a robbery on Dallas Circle on June 3.

In that case, two masked men held up Roanoke residents in the yard and shot inside a home.

The resident and her cousin had gone to Circle K and when they returned home, two masked men stopped them bearing guns. They tried to pistol whip the cousin, who was able to run from the scene and call police.

The two demanded entry into the house, where the woman's husband was inside watching the children. Multiple gunshots were fired inside the house, but no one was seriously injured. They took money from the woman and then fled on foot.

On June 11, Pierce Dimitri McGuire, 26, of 168 South St., Roanoke, was arrested and charged with first-degree robbery, attempted murder, and discharging a firearm into an occupied building.

Bank robbery update...

Roanoke Police continue to ask for the public's help in their investigation of the robbery at Small Town Bank on Main Street in Roanoke on Tuesday morning of last week.

At approximately 7 a.m., as an employee was coming in the back door, a person with a handgun ordered him inside. The robber then ordered the employee to access the money, which he did.

The robber fled the bank, ran behind the vacant office building next door, and crossed Main Street toward Pershing Avenue, where it is believed a getaway vehicle was waiting.

The suspect is described as wearing a blondish-red feminine wig, dark clothing, carrying a brown bag, with a bandana over his face. He is approximately 5-foot-8, 140 to 150 pounds. Most of the time, the suspect stood behind the employee and kept his head down, shrouded by the long wig.
