Randolph County Commission will soon have three brand new faces on it.

Democrat Lorenzo Foster defeated Republican Gerry Knight (54 percent to 46 percent) in Tuesday's election for District 5. In District 4, incumbent Republican Derek Farr won over Democratic challenger Kerry Drake, 65 percent to 31 percent.

Foster and Farr will join incumbent Larry Roberts and two other new commissioners, Chris Brown and Pam Johnson, whose places were decided in the runoff.

Randolph County voters chose President Donald Trump (79 percent) over Democrat Joe Biden (20 percent).

For U.S. Senate, Randolph County picked Tommy Tuberville over Doug Jones, 78 percent to 22 percent. For U.S. Representative, 80 percent of voters in Randolph County chose Mike Rogers over Adia Winfrey, 20 percent.

They also chose Twinkle Cavanaugh for President of the Public Service Commission over Laura Casey, 77 percent to 23 percent.

Of the voters in Randolph County who voted a straight-party ticket, 77 percent were Republican and 23 percent were Democrats.

Randolph County has 18,339 registered votes. Of those, 10,860 cast ballots in this general election, which is 59 percent.
