The Roanoke City Schools hosted a celebratory groundbreaking ceremony Friday in honor of the building of a new Science, Technology, Enineering, and Math (STEM) Laboratory.

Members of the Roanoke City School Board, members of the Alabama State Department of Education (ALSDE), and individuals from the community gathered at Handley Middle School as they officially announced the beginning of the construction.
