Pam Johnson

In the run-off election for Randolph County Commissioner of District 3, voters have chosen Pam Johnson as their next commis­sioner.

Johnson defeated opponent Jeff Fetner 509 to 445, having 52 per­cent of the vote.

In the Republican run-off for U.S. Senator, Randolph County voters sided with former Auburn University coach Tommy Tuberville (2,047 votes) over former U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions (658). That’s 76 percent.

Commission seats already decid­ed in the primary include Chris Brown in District 1, and Larry Roberts in District 2.

In District 4, Republican winner Derek Farr faces Democrat Kerry Drake in November. In District 5, Gerry Knight, the Republican, will go up against Democrat Lorenzo Foster.

There were 2,736 ballots cast here on Tuesday.
