An arrest has been made in a drive-by shooting that happened on Memorial Day weekend.
Chris Lajohea Foster, 30, of 429 Pine St., Roanoke, is charged with two counts of aggravated assault (attempted murder) and shooting into an occupied building.
According to the report from RPD, on the afternoon of Saturday, May 25, Deloise Langford of Seymour Drive, Roanoke, and her brother, Desmond Hawkins, were in the front yard changing a tire on her car.
Foster drove by and turned right on to Smith Street. When he came back up Smith Street, he was shooting at her and her brother with a rifle. Langford ran in the house and got on the floor until the shooting stopped. Then she ran back outside to check on her brother, and he was gone. Investigator Jonathan Caldwell said approximately 25 shots were fired.
