Jill Hicks

The recount in the Roanoke mayoral race resulted in no changes to the 135 absentee ballots.

Jill Hicks remains the winner with a final count of 822-790 over Kelley W. Phillips.

Phillips requested the recount, which took place Thursday morning at the Roanoke justice center. The absentee ballots were counted by hand, and no changes to the original count were found.

There will be no more appeals or recounts in this election. The results are now final.
