A Roanoke woman was injured in a two-car accident Thursday at Highway 431 and County Road 79 in Roanoke.

Ayanna Sutton was transported by ambulance to Tanner Medical Center following a collision at the intersection.

According to the Roanoke police report, Sutton was driving her 2010 Nissan Altima on 79 when she turned right onto 431 in front of Roanoke resident Bob Steele, who was traveling north on 431 in his 2016 Dodge Ram pickup.

The two vehicles collided and careened into a power pole, leveling the pole and leaving both vehicles in a grass field adjacent to the highway at Franklin Road.

Steele and a passenger were also treated for minor injuries at Tanner following the accident
