A second arrest has been made in connection with the June 29 shooting on Strozier Street that left one woman dead.
La'Quan Deiz De'Anthony Santez Ballard, 22, of LaFayette was arrested Tuesday morning and charged with attempted murder.
According to investigator Lorenzo Foster, U.S. Marshals shared a tip with Roanoke Police Department that Ballard was at a residence in Roanoke. Roanoke officers and U.S. Marshals went to both doors of the home. A woman answered the door, and then brought Ballard to the door, where he was taken into custody without incident.
Tasha Renae Gray, 34, was killed when gunshots were fired amongst a crowd of people gathered outside on Strozier Street at night.
Antoine Demetrius Heard, 30, of LaFayette was arrested at that time and charged with murder and attempted murder.
