One man was injured on Wednesday afternoon of last week in a wreck in front of Walmart.

According to the report from Roanoke Police Department, Charles Ed Bassett, 57, of Roanoke was attempting to turn into Davco Drive in a 2003 Ford F-150 truck because he thought he had the green arrow to turn.

Nathan Scott Bevels, 20, of Roanoke was traveling northbound on U.S. 431 in his 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer when Bassett went to turn, and they hit almost head on.

A witness said she was stopped at the light waiting to turn onto Highway 431 South, when the truck turned in front of Bevels' SUV causing them to crash in front of her. Both vehicles were totaled.

Bevels was taken by ambulance to Tanner East Alabama Medical Center.
