Annie Awbrey Public Library in Roanoke received a donation of $3,800 from members of the Roanoke Rotary Club.

The donation is for new computers for the library. Mildred Freeman, librarian at Awbrey Library, states, "We are excited that we are going to get new computers. We have had our old computers serviced so many times that we are needing new ones badly."

Upon asking Ms. Freeman what individuals use the computers for, she explained the computers are open to the public, and many people come in to complete job applications, print items, check emails, do their taxes and make copies, and students will do their schoolwork. The plan is for the old computers to be moved to the children's section of the library.
