A two-vehicle accident on Wednesday afternoon of last week sent two people to the hospital.

According to the report from Roanoke Police Department, the accident happened on North Main Street. Andrew Dalton Royston, 17, of Wadley was traveling north in a 1998 Honda Accord LX as Tommie Lee Trammell, 71, of Roanoke was pulling out of a private drive in his 2007 Pontiac G6, going to head south.

Trammell began to pull out, as Royston rounded the curve. Royston struck Trammell broadside. Trammell left the left side of the road, coming to rest in a neighbor's yard. Royston came to rest facing back south.

Both drivers were injured and transported to Tanner East Alabama by ambulance.
