WEDOWEE - At last week's meeting of Wedowee Town Council, Mayor Tim Coe advised the council he had received the results of the recent audit.

"I am glad to say the audit gives us a clean bill of health," said Coe. Each council member was given a copy of the audit.

Speed bumps

Police Chief Robbie Taylor discussed moving two of the newly installed speed bumps and the possibility of installing another.

"I have had a request to move the bump on Mill Street back 150 feet toward Highway 48 and to move the bump on First Street 20 feet north," he said. The council approved for the chief to make the moves.

Taylor said he had gotten a request for a speed bump on First Avenue but is waiting on results from patrol reports by officers on the street.
