Thefts

A half-karat diamond ring was reported stolen on Oct. 2 from a residence on Highway 48 in Graham.

Two catalytic converters were reported stolen from vehicles on County Road 438 near Saxon's Crossroads on Oct. 4.

An employee reported on Oct. 5 that a man broke the front glass door of Pop's Landing on U.S. 431 at Lake Wedowee and stole a red T-shirt.

A purse was reported stolen from a residence on County Road 532 in the Newell area on Oct. 6.

An air compressor and chainsaw were taken from a residence on County Road 102, Woodland, on Oct. 7.

A black 2010 Nissan Cube SUV was reported taken on Oct. 7 from a residence on County Road 65 near Rock Stand.

A foosball table, ATV ramps and old jugs were reported stolen on Oct. 8 from a residence on County Road 16 in the Center Chapel community.

A Braves hat, loose change, gunlock and iPhone were taken on Oct 8 from County Road 87 in the Omaha area.

Vehicle fire

The owner of a 2006 Chevrolet crew cab reported on Oct. 11 that he woke up to a loud boom, looked out side and saw the truck was on fire. The Woodland Volunteer Fire Department responded to the call on Robin Lane.

Other incidents

A couple that walks for exercise reported on Oct. 4 dogs that behave aggressively toward them on County Road 129 near Mount Pleasant. Last week they saw the owner outside and asked her to call the dogs back and she cussed at them.

On Oct. 5 a complainant reported someone had forced their way into a house on County Road 251 at Newell and broken the mirror to a dresser.

Someone broke into a 2012 Land Rover while it was parked on County Road 8951 near Cragford on Oct. 6.

A woman reported on Oct. 10 that someone threw a rock at her windshield at a residence on County Road 16 in the Center Chapel community.

A resident of County Road 25, Newell, reported on Oct. 10 that while he was taking his dog outside to go to the bathroom, his neighbor's dog came into his yard and attacked his dog.
