ENGINEER: RANDOLPH County Commission is accepting applications for an Assistant Engineer. Salary range is $50,000 to $76,000, based on experience. Duties include: Development of major road & bridge construction by county workers or private contractors; supervision of engineering assistants, laborers, & other staff; estimating & accounting functions to monitor projects & departmental funding; securing data & performing surveys to ensure accurate measurements & calculations; and administrative activities to ensure efficient, accurate documentation for projects. The office is located in Wedowee, AL. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in engineering and certification as Engineer in Training; experience in road & bridge construction, maintenance, inspection & surveying; certified bridge inspector credentials; ability to certify as roadway technician, qualified credential inspector & certified concrete technician by ALDOT (More details of duties & qualifications available via alabamaworks.alabama.gov).
