Search continues for missing teen

HEARD COUNTY, Ga.–Authorities with the Heard County and Troup County sheriff’s offices are seeking the public’s help in locating a teen with a mental disorder reported missing by her parents on Monday.

Fifteen-year-old Ledia Mary King is missing from the Rock Mills Road area, bordering the Troup County, Heard County and Alabama state lines.

King was last seen was last seen walking in the 800 block of Rock Mills Road on Monday, June 16, around 2 p.m. She was wearing a white shirt, sandals and a black backpack with “SHAW” written on the back. The only personal articles she is believed to have with her is a purse and a hair flat iron.

King is biracial, black and Hispanic, and when last seen both sides of her head were shaved, which she wears in different styles. She may go by the nickname “Dede.” She is described as about 5-foot-7, 160 pounds and has a burn on the back of her right leg.
