Lester “Paul” Burke

Lester “Paul” Burke, 88, of Valley, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 16, 2023, at Bethany House in Auburn.

Survivors include his wife, Myra Burke of Valley; two daughters, Johnett Brown (Ben) of Valley and Lisa Tidwell of Lineville; four sons, Richard Paul Burke of Wadley, Dane Richardson (Dena) of Wadley, Cash Wilson of Valley, Shane Whitten (Tabby) of Riverview, and Jim Richardson (Angie) of Huntsville; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and special friend, J.B. Jones.

A Randolph County native, Mr. Burke was born on Sept. 17, 1935, the son of Buster B. and Ola E. Hyatt Burke.  He was a member of Welcome Home Baptist church and a retired truck driver.  Mr. Burke was preceded in death by his parents and several brothers and sisters.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for any donations to be made to the Bethany House in Auburn.
