At last week’s meeting of Wadley Town Council, the council voted unanimously to approve the budget for 2023-2024. In other financial matters, the council approved a one-time pay raise for all town employees. Each full-time employee will receive $300 for Christmas pay and part-time employees will receive $100.
In other business, the council:
Heard a presentation from Matt Wilbanks, manager of member services of Municipal Gas Authority of Georgia. The company is the supplier of natural gas for the town.
Scheduled the next council meeting for Monday, December 4 at 5 pm.
