Kenneth Wortham
(WOODLAND) Funeral services for Kenneth Wortham, 67, of Woodland, were Thursday, Nov. 16, 2023, at 2 p.m. at Jordan Chapel Congregational Methodist church with the Rev. Chris Mitchell, the Rev. Mike Nobbley, the Rev. Brian Moore, Bro. Jonathan Hannah, and Bro. Randall Skinner officiating. Burial followed in the adjoining cemetery.
Mr. Wortham passed away Monday, Nov. 13, 2023, at Tanner Medical Center in Carrollton, Ga.
Survivors include his wife, Peggy Wortham of Woodland; one daughter, Kristi Wortham of Ohatchee; sisters, Patsy Kitchens of Woodland, Judy Thompson (Steve) of Decatur, and Stephanie Sheppard (Dell) of Wedowee; brothers, Phillip Wortham (Cathy), of Wedowee, Donnie Wortham of Woodland; sister-in-laws; Ellen Wortham and Gina Wortham,; brother-in-law; Terry Gosdin (Tara Williams) of Bellevue, KY; and several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
Pallbearers were Jason Kitchens, Donald Bailey, Dell Sheppard, Roy Doug Benefield, David Johnson, Wortham Bailey, Ronald Wortham and Terry Gosdin. Honorary pallbearers will be Adam Wortham, Bryan Wortham, Jeffrey Kitchens and Anthony Wortham.
A Randolph County native, Mr. Wortham was born on Oct. 6, 1956, the son of Lowell and Jessie Nobley Wortham. He had been a member of Jordan Chapel Congregational Methodist Church for 40 years and worked in maintenance for JAC Products. Mr. Wortham was an equipment operator, woodworker, and enjoyed cooking and baking. He was a jack of all trades. Mr. Wortham was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Jerry Wortham and Clyde Wortham; and father- and mother-in-law, Junior and Willie Pearl Gosdin.
