Randolph County Sheriff’s Department assisted Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) with executing a search warrant on County Road 614, Woodland. Gunner August, 22, was subsequently arrested and charged with five counts of possession of child pornography. – Nov. 1
Randolph County Jail inmate Justin Anthony Smith, 20, of Roanoke received the additional charge of assault with bodily fluid. Smith is accused of urinating in the spray bottle of cleaning solution used by the inmates to clean their cells and the dayroom. – Nov. 1
Criminal littering was reported on County Road 38 in the Ofelia community on Nov. 1.
Zachery A. Pearson, 22, of Fruithurst was arrested and charged with fourth-degree theft of property and third-degree receiving stolen property. This is in connection with the theft of a pop-up camper stolen in August from County Road 25 and sold to someone else.
RCSO responded to a wreck at the intersection of Highway 48 and County Road 614 near New Hope. While speaking with one occupant of the SUV, two others ran from the scene into the woods. One of those who fled was caught, and one was not. Andres Constantino Ortiz, 39, address unknown, and Mendez Garcia, 37, of Woodland were both charged with public intoxication.
A complainant reported $500 in bank envelope was stolen from her vehicle by someone who had ridden with her
Prescription medication was reported stolen from a residence on County Road 75 in Rock Mills on Nov. 1
A mobile home on County Road 88 in the Corinth North area was destroyed by fire on Friday night. The witness who reported the fire told RCSO that the owner did not stay at the trailer often, and he knew only the owner’s first name. That night, four people were around a bonfire and were drinking and listening to music. Then they began getting bags out of the mobile home because it was on fire. A vehicle left parked outside was also destroyed.
RCSO cleared up a missing person and stolen vehicle case when the vehicle was spotted on Sunday evening at the Marathon gas station in Woodland. Carroll County, Ga., had shared a BOLO (be on the lookout) for the 1999 Chevrolet Suburban, stolen out of Oconee, Ga. When a RCSO deputy located its driver, it was also discovered that Demari Tyrell Littlejohn, 21, of Gaffney, S.C., had been listed as a missing person from Athens, Ga. Littlejohn was arrested and charged with first-degree receiving stolen property.
A resident of County Road 203 in the Corinth North community reported that a woman in a green car drove through two closed gates on the property and then left.
