Donald “Don” Edward Hodges

(WADLEY) Funeral services for Donald “Don” Edward Hodges, 64, of Wadley will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2023, at 1 p.m. at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Bro. Tim Whaley and Bro. Ricky Cummings officiating.  Burial will follow at Corinth Christian Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 7.

Mr. Hodges passed away Saturday, Nov. 4, at his home.

Survivors include his wife, Lisa Knight Hodges of Wadley; three sons, Cliff Hodges of Roanoke, Wayne Hodges (Kadie) and Cody Hodges (Shannon), both of Wadley; five grandchildren, Jackson Hodges, Cole Hodges, Easton Hodges, Cade Hodges and Everly Hodges; and two brothers, Joey Hodges (Phyllis) and Clay Hodges (Charlotte), both of Roanoke.

Pallbearers will be Jeremy Hill, Derrick Knight, Kyle Knight, Kevin Knight, Jackson Hodges and Cole Hodges.

A Randolph County native, Mr. Hodges was born on Oct. 25, 1959, the son of Clarence Cecil and Darie Thomas Hodges.  He was a member of Handley Avenue Church of God and worked as a maintenance supervisor at Duracell.  Mr. Hodges was a hard worker and a good man with a servant’s heart, and he took pride in taking care of his family.  He was a loving “Pop-Pop” to his grandchildren and enjoyed talking about horses with them.  Mr. Hodges also loved to go fishing.  He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Donna Hodges; and a brother, David Hodges.
