Default having being made in the payment of the indebtedness secured by that certain mortgage dated September 11, 2020 executed by John Lucas Patterson, unmarried, in favor of Mortgage Electronic Registration Systems, Inc. solely as nominee for Homestar Financial Corp., said Mortgage being recorded September 17, 2020, in Book 656, Page 111, in the Office of the Judge of Probate of Randolph County, Alabama; having later been assigned to NewRez LLC d/b/a Shellpoint Mortgage Servicing by instrument recorded in Book 693, Page 190, in the Office of the Judge of Probate of Randolph County, Alabama. Said default continues and notice is hereby given that the undersigned, NewRez LLC d/b/a Shellpoint Mortgage Servicing, under and by virtue of the power of sale contained in said mortgage, will sell at public outcry to the highest bidder for cash at the main entrance to the County Courthouse, Randolph County, Alabama on 11/14/2023, during the legal hours of sale, the following described real estate situated in Randolph County, Alabama, to-wit:

That certain house and lot in the City of Roanoke, Alabama, more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the intersection of the north right-of-way line of Handley Avenue and the west right-of-way line of Striplin Street; thence running in a southwesterly direction along the north right-of-way line of Handley Avenue 119 feet, more or less, to a point; thence leaving the north right-of-way line of Handley Avenue and run in a northwesterly direction for a distance of 154 feet, more or less, to a point; thence running in a northeasterly direction for a distance of 105.5 feet to a point on the west right-of-way line of Striplin Street; thence running southeasterly along the west right-of-way line of Striplin Street 169 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning. LESS AND EXCEPT: Commence at the intersection of the west right-of-way line of Striplin Street and the north right-of-way line of Handley Avenue; thence southwesterly along the north right-of-way line of Handley Avenue a distance of 109 feet to the point of beginning of the property being described herein; thence continue southwesterly along the north right-of-way line of Handley Avenue a distance of 10 feet to a point; thence northwesterly a distance of 154 feet to a point; thence northeasterly a distance of 10 feet to a point; thence southeasterly a distance of 154 feet to the point of beginning. Said property lying and being in the NW 1/4 of the NW 1/4 of Section 35, Township 21 South, Range 12 East, Randolph County, Alabama.
