Ralph Maddox

(CRAGFORD) Graveside services for Ralph Maddox, 87, of Cragford were held on Sunday, Oct. 1, 2023, at noon at Providence Baptist Church Cemetery in Williamson, Ga.

Mr. Maddox passed away Thursday, Sept. 28, at Chapman Healthcare in Alexander City.

Survivors include: three daughters, Deborah Ann Bazinaw, Judy Gail Tharpe and Leisa Faye Dukes, all of Alexander City; two sons, Robert Dale Maddox of Cragford and Barry Lane Maddox of Alexander City; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Eugene Maddox of Griffin, Ga., and Carl Maddox of Tyrone, Ga.

Pallbearers were Derek Maddox, Hayden Maddox, Cooper Maddox, Conner Maddox and Colby Maddox.

A Clayton, Ga., native, Mr. Maddox was born on Sept. 30, 1935, the son of Joe L. and Rosie Mae Dunson Maddox. He was a United States Army veteran of the Korean conflict and was a self-employed poultry farmer and truck driver. Mr. Maddox was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Louis Maddox and Paul David Maddox.
