(WEDOWEE) Funeral services for Helen Marsh, 66, of Wedowee will be held on Saturday, Sept. 30, 2023, at 1 p.m. at Benefield Funeral Home chapel with Minister Joyce White officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 29. Mrs. Marsh will lie in state at the church for one hour prior to services beginning on Saturday.

Mrs. Marsh passed away on Saturday, Sept. 23, at Lineville Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Survivors include: three daughters, Nicki Nunn (Kevin), Joyce Terrell and Janice Marsh (Derrick Sims), all of Wedowee; one son, Kenny Terrell of Wedowee; 11 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; one sister, Joan Andrews of Wedowee; and two brothers, James Terrell of Bowdon, Ga., and Scotty Andrews of Wedowee.

A Wedowee native, Mrs. Marsh was born on Feb. 27, 1957, the daughter of James G. Terrell and Ruby L. Parker. She was a member of Union Chapel Methodist Church and was a housewife. Mrs. Marsh was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Marsh; one daughter, Teresa Terrell; one sister, Vicki Andrews; and two brothers, Michael Terrell and Gene Andrews.
