Thomas W. Fitzgerald

(ROANOKE) Funeral services for Thomas W. Fitzgerald, 82, of Roanoke, were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 26, 2023, at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Parker Barber officiating. Burial followed at Randolph Memory Gardens.

Mr. Fitzgerald passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 23, at his home.

Survivors include one daughter, Stella Fitzgerald of Roanoke; one son, Larry Bagley of Roanoke; two sisters, Debbie Fitzgerald and Tina McAuther, both of Lake Wales, Fla.; one brother, Paul Fitzgerald of Okeechobee, Fla.; three grandchildren; and his best friend, Peggie Nutt (Darrell) of Roanoke.

A Pitts, Ga., native, Mr. Fitzgerald was born Oct. 6, 1940, the son of John and Stella McClendon Fitzgerald. He had been employed with 1944 Glaziers Union. Mr. Fitzgerald loved his family. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Brenda Fitzgerald; and a brother, Gerald Fitzgerald.
