Bobby Joil Sheats

(WOODLAND) Funeral services for Bobby Joil Sheats, 66, of Woodland will be held on Saturday, Aug. 5, 2023, at 3 p.m. at Benefield Funeral Chapel with Bro. Michael Gibson officiating. Burial will follow at Liberty Grove Congregational Methodist Church.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1-3 p.m. before services begin.

Mr. Sheats passed away Thursday, July 27, at Tanner Medical Center in Carrollton, Ga.

Survivors include his wife, Pamela Rice Sheats of Woodland; two daughters, Ashley White (Shane) of Woodland and Andrea Biggers (Jeremy) of Fruithurst; seven grandchildren, Jason, Kami, River, Caulder, Wade, Bentley and Lake; two sisters, Ivynell Shelton (Jackie) of Carrollton and Carrie Holloway (Tim) of Wedowee; and one brother, Sephus Sheats of Wedowee.

Pallbearers will be friends and family.

A Newell native Mr. Sheats was born on Dec. 27, 1956, the son of Correll and I.V. Williamson Sheats. He was a member of Antioch Baptist Church and worked as a truck driver for J-Par Trucking. Mr. Sheats was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Ronnie Sheats.
